Applied Strategies is seeking Senior Consultant candidates with strong project management skills who can lead global health-related projects and client relationships.

Senior Consultant Job Description

A senior consultant works directly with global health clients to provide innovative solutions to the unique challenges facing these decision-makers. Senior consultants are also expected to contribute to the building and managing of Applied Strategies by being a key part of sales and marketing activities, developing methodological and analytical processes, mentoring and developing junior staff, and identifying and standardizing company best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing projects
• Planning and facilitating client team meetings
• Providing content expertise in one or more key areas (e.g., clinical development, global health, business strategy, organizational effectiveness)
• Interviewing clients, customers, country representatives, and experts
• Guiding business, product, and country research
• Pulling insight from market, customer, competitor, and cost analyses
• Generating and communicating insights based on research and analysis
• Supporting problem diagnosis and framing activities
• Defining and evaluating alternative decision options
• Developing and delivering presentations
• Writing publications and white papers
• Building and maintaining client relationships
• Supporting marketing and sales activities

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

The successful senior consultant candidate has either a strong working knowledge of the global health challenges in the developing world or a background in vaccine, drug, or diagnostic product development, with demonstrated project management and analytical capabilities. Interested candidates should have an MPH, MBA, MA/MS, or MD/PhD in science, business, economics, public health, or a related discipline with exposure to global health, life science, and business issues through at least five years of work experience, preferably in a leadership role.
